Vintage Engine Restored

“The car which was built in 2016 and has a 6 litre DeHavilland Gypsy Aero Engine which was built in 1928. The cylinder heads were badly worn so I designed and made a new set of four high performance heads.  I needed a new set of special valves springs for these heads and was very lucky to find Davies Springs who were interested in making only four engine sets consisting of 32 inner  springs and 32 matching outer springs for which we chose high quality silicon chrome wire.

They were delivered promptly and have been in the engine for two years and have been fine.  

They close the valves 1500 times per minute at full power.  I was very impressed with Davies Springs and can recommend them as a very good supplier.”
